Absolute are actively seeking a highly skilled and experienced Interim Year End Accountant to support the company through its upcoming audit and year-end processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Gather and prepare all relevant financial information and disclosures for the audit.
• Conduct reconciliations of various accounts, including bank and intercompany accounts.
• Maintain and update the fixed asset register accurately.
• Perform forensic investigations to resolve discrepancies.
• Collaborate with external auditors, providing necessary documentation.
• Utilize Workday Financials for data extraction and reporting.
• Manipulate large datasets in Excel to prepare schedules.
• Liaise with internal departments for supporting documentation.
• Identify and recommend improvements within the finance function.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Finalist/Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
• Experience in supporting external audits.
• Strong forensic accounting skills.
• Proficient in Excel; experience with Workday Financials is desirable.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Location: Greater London
Contract: 6 months, hybrid (2 days in the office)
Day rate: £260 - £300 (umbrella/inside IR35)
