Job summary

Elevate Projects Ltd is seeking a Technical Support Officer (Interim) to join the maintenance and repairs team. You will assist with investigations, identify defects, and oversee repairs projects across social housing units, ensuring CDM 2015 compliance and effective contractor management.

Responsibilities include inspections, providing technical advice, preparing reports and engaging contractors, with flexible hours including some evenings.

Qualifications

• Building-related qualification (HND/HNC) or equivalent experience.
• Extensive technical knowledge of construction details and defect pathology in domestic dwellings.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation including CDM 2015.
• Experience liaising with residents, leaseholders and clients.
• Ability to prepare estimates, specifications and contracts to deadlines.
• Proficient with spreadsheets, databases and presentations.
• Excellent customer service and collaborative problem solving.
• Willingness to attend evening meetings and work flexibly.

Responsibilities

• Undertake inspections and surveys following repair requests at tenanted properties.
• Provide technical advice on defects, damp, estimates, labour and safety for project work.
• Prepare survey reports, estimates and orders for works with value-for-money checks.
• Engage specialist services and contractors per procurement rules.
• Monitor progress of works and ensure health & safety compliance.
• Support Section 20 consultations with leaseholders to maximise income.
• Investigate complaints and respond to residents and external bodies.
• Maintain records of repairs histories, contracts and financials.
• Collaborate with Asset Management to collect stock data and prioritise programmes.
