Job summary

Elevate Projects, in partnership with a local housing provider, is seeking a Technical Officer with HHSRS experience to undertake low level disrepair inspections across the portfolio.

The role offers a path into Building Surveying within housing, requiring practical maintenance experience, ability to prepare estimates and contracts, and strong communication with residents, contractors and Housing colleagues.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with HHSRS and building maintenance in housing.
• Ability to liaise with residents and external/internal clients.
• Ability to prepare estimates, specifications and contracts to deadlines.
• Proactive in relationships with customers and Housing colleagues.
• Experience recording payments to sub-contractors and applying Schedule of Rates.
• Ability to produce spreadsheets and maintain databases.
• Able to deliver presentations to residents and groups.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out low level disrepair inspections under HHSRS.
• Coordinate with housing teams and contractors to address issues.
• Prepare and monitor estimates, specs and contracts.
• Maintain records of payments and subcontractor charges.
• Develop presentations for residents and stakeholder groups.

Elevate Projects are working in partnership with our client, a local housing provider, to appoint a Technical Officer with experience of HHSRS to undertake low level disrepair inspections of properties within the portfolio. Experience Required:

• Some relevant experience of working in a building maintenance role and HHSRS is essential.
• Experience of working in a diverse environment including liaising with external and internal clients, but most importantly, residents.
• Ability to prepare estimates, specifications and contracts (to deadlines).
• Be proactive and engaging in relationships with customers and Housing colleagues
• Ability to record and monitor any payments made to sub-contractors and apply Schedule of Rates to Sub-contractors work.
• Be able to produce spreadsheets, and maintain/update databases.
• Able and confident in the production and delivery of presentations to residents and other groups
• Be proactive and engaging in relationships with customers, contractors and other stakeholders
