Job summary

Marc Daniels Specialist Recruitment is seeking an Interim Senior Group Accountant to support the Group Finance function in delivering consolidated reporting, statutory accounts and technical accounting across multiple entities.

You will own the month-end, year-end close, intercompany reconciliations and balance sheet controls, while ensuring IFRS/UK GAAP compliance. You will partner with senior stakeholders and drive process improvements and finance transformation initiatives.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent.
• Proven senior group accounting and reporting experience.
• Strong IFRS/UK GAAP knowledge.
• Advanced Excel and large data handling.
• Intercompany reconciliations and balance sheet controls.
• Interim/contract experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own the monthly group consolidation and reporting for multiple entities.
• Prepare and review monthly management accounts with variance analysis.
• Oversee month-end and year-end close processes.
• Manage intercompany reconciliations and balance sheet controls.
• Prepare statutory accounts under IFRS and UK GAAP.
• Lead year-end audit process and liaise with external auditors.
• Support finance transformation and system implementations.
• Assist with acquisitions and corporate activities.
• Produce ad hoc analysis for decision-making.
