Marc Daniels Specialist Recruitment is partnering with a leading FTSE-listed business to recruit a Senior Statutory Reporting Accountant into their finance team. This hands-on role focuses on financial reporting, controls, and collaborating with the wider business.

You will own key aspects of statutory and financial reporting, support month-end and year-end close, and help ensure balance sheet integrity while engaging with senior stakeholders and audit activity.

Qualifications

• Qualified ACA with 2 years PQE.
• Strong experience in financial reporting and month-end close.
• Technical accounting knowledge and attention to detail.
• Confident communicator with senior stakeholders.
• Strong Excel skills and ERP experience.
• Proactive with broad role.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver statutory financial statements under IFRS/UK GAAP.
• Ensure compliance with external reporting requirements.
• Manage end-to-end year-end reporting, including disclosures.
• Support month-end and year-end close.
• Balance sheet reconciliations and controls.
• Assist with audit preparation.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and ad hoc finance projects.
• Improve reporting processes and financial controls.

Marc Daniels Specialist Recruitment are partnering with a leading FTSE Listed business to recruit a Senior Statutory Reporting Accountant into their finance team. This is a broad and hands-on role, ideal for a technically strong accountant who enjoys financial reporting, controls, and working closely with the wider business.

You will take ownership of key aspects of statutory and financial reporting, support month-end and year-end close, and help ensure the integrity of the balance sheet. The role will also involve working with senior stakeholders, supporting audit activity, and contributing to process improvements across finance.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver statutory financial statements in accordance with IFRS/UK GAAP.
• Ensure compliance with all external reporting requirements, including annual and interim accounts.
• Manage the end‑to‑end year‑end reporting process, including drafting disclosures and supporting notes.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes.
• Take ownership of balance sheet reconciliations and controls.
• Assist with audit preparation and liaise with external auditors.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and ad hoc finance projects where required.
• Improve reporting processes and strengthen financial control.

Requirements

• Qualified accountant, ACA with 2 years PQE
• Strong experience in financial reporting and month-end close.
• Good technical accounting knowledge and attention to detail.
• Confident communicator who can work well with senior stakeholders.
