Job summary

Marc Daniels Specialist Recruitment are partnering with a leading FTSE listed business to recruit a Senior Statutory Reporting Accountant into their finance team. This is a broad and hands-on role, ideal for a technically strong accountant who enjoys financial reporting, controls, and working closely with the wider business.

You will take ownership of key aspects of statutory and financial reporting, support month-end and year-end close, and help ensure the integrity of the balance sheet.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with ACA and 2 years PQE.
• Strong experience in financial reporting and month-end close.
• Good technical accounting knowledge and attention to detail.
• Confident communicator who can work with senior stakeholders.
• Strong Excel skills and experience with ERP or finance systems.
• Proactive and able to handle a broad role.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver statutory financial statements in accordance with IFRS/UK GAAP.
• Ensure compliance with external reporting requirements, including annual and interim accounts.
• Manage end‑to‑end year‑end reporting process, drafting disclosures and supporting notes.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes.
• Take ownership of balance sheet reconciliations and controls.
• Assist with audit preparation and liaise with external auditors.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and ad hoc finance projects.
• Improve reporting processes and strengthen financial control.
