Job summary

Arthur Recruitment partners with a leading general insurer in the London Market to recruit an Interim Reporting Manager. You will report to the CFO and own quarterly IFRS 17 group reporting, statutory financial statements, and core close activities during a key year-end transition.

This hands-on role covers monthly closes, Solvency UK returns, and data integrity work with actuarial teams and external auditors to ensure timely submissions.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with post-qualification experience in a London Market carrier, insurer or reinsurer.
• Hands-on experience delivering quarterly BAU reporting and IFRS 17 submissions.
• Knowledge of Solvency UK returns and FRS 102/103 statutory reporting; liaising with external auditors.

Responsibilities

• Manage quarterly group reporting, reforecasting and disclosures for head office submissions.
• Execute monthly close processes, manage insurance/reinsurance ledger accounting and statutory financial statements.
• Produce Solvency UK regulatory returns and coordinate data with actuarial teams for technical provisions.
• Act as primary technical contact for external audit workflows and balance sheet reconciliations.

Job description

We are partnering with a leading general insurer in the London Market to recruit a hands-on Interim Reporting Manager to drive their financial accounting and reporting deliverables during a key year-end transition period.

Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, this role will take direct responsibility for quarterly IFRS 17 group reporting, statutory financial statements, and core financial close activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage quarterly group reporting, reforecasting and technical reserve disclosures for head office submissions.
• Execute monthly close processes, manage insurance/reinsurance ledger accounting and deliver statutory financial statements under FRS 102 and FRS 103.
• Produce Solvency UK regulatory returns and partner closely with actuarial teams to ensure data integrity for technical provisions.
• Act as the primary technical contact for external audit workflows and manage balance sheet reconciliations

Key Qualifications & Skills:

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with proven post-qualification experience within a London Market carrier, general insurer or reinsurer.
• Hands-on, practical expertise executing quarterly BAU reporting and submissions under IFRS 17.
• Strong working knowledge of Solvency UK returns, FRS 102/103 statutory reporting and liaising directly with external auditors.
