Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent qualification is required.

Responsibilities

About the Role

We're looking for an experienced technical accountant to step into a pivotal interim role within our Financial Control team to support with year end. You'll work with our external auditors, provide the technical accounting backbone for our IFRS reporting, and bring clarity to some genuinely complex consolidation and acquisition accounting challenges. It's a role for someone who's as comfortable in the technical detail as they are explaining it to a non-finance stakeholder.

What You'll Do

• Lead the annual external audit — be the day-to-day face for auditors and keep every deliverable on track and on time
• Own technical accounting positions — assess and document key judgements, estimates, and complex matters under IFRS
• Drive statutory reporting — support the preparation and review of annual reports and financial statements that meet the highest standards
• Navigate acquisition accounting — provide technical input on business combinations and integration activity as the Group grows
• Master the consolidation — work across jurisdictions, entities, and currencies, reviewing eliminations, FX translation, and consolidation adjustments
• Bridge IFRS and US GAAP — evaluate and document accounting implications across both frameworks where relevant
• Build real relationships — partner with finance, legal, tax, and treasury stakeholders to keep everyone aligned
• Raise the bar — drive continuous improvement in reporting processes, audit efficiency, and accounting governance

What You'll Bring

• A recognised accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
• Extensive financial reporting or a related role, with strong command of accounting standards and regulations (IFRS)
• Proven experience preparing and reviewing annual reports and statutory financial statements
• Solid grounding in complex group consolidations across multiple legal entities and currencies
• Sharp analytical skills and the technical depth to solve genuinely complex accounting problems
• Strong Excel and data manipulation skills
• The communication skills to translate technical accounting into plain English for non-finance audiences
• A detail-oriented mindset with high accuracy, and the ability to juggle multiple priorities independently or as part of a team

Nice-to-Haves:

• Experience working in a listed and/or regulated environment
• Exposure to acquisition accounting, business combinations, or post-acquisition integration
• Familiarity with financial software and ERP systems
• Working knowledge of US GAAP
