Job summary

Morgan Hunt is seeking an Interim Repairs Operations Manager for a major social housing maintenance programme in South East London. You will lead a large repairs operation across ~25,000 properties, delivering safe, compliant and efficient service.

You will manage a diverse team of up to 125, direct multi-disciplinary operations, oversee budgets, and drive performance improvements while ensuring regulatory compliance and tenant satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Extensive senior leadership experience directing repairs and maintenance within social housing.
• Track record of managing large operational teams and sizable budgets.
• Strong knowledge of housing legislation, safety standards and compliance frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Direct a large, multi-disciplinary team of up to 125 internal and external personnel across borough-wide repairs.
• Ensure prompt, cost-efficient, and structurally sound completion of repair jobs through strict oversight.
• Champion ongoing performance improvements with a focus on safety and transparency.
• Collaborate with internal directorates and senior stakeholders to align maintenance goals with housing targets.
• Maintain adherence to housing laws, building regulations and health and safety legislation.
• Manage substantial departmental budgets to secure value and stretch resources.
