Interim Property Manager (General Practice - client-side)

About the client

The Management Recruitment Group is seeking an Interim Property Manager for a prestigious University in London.

Accountabilities

• Oversee strategic and operational management of this University’s property portfolio
• Supervise freehold and leasehold properties including operational buildings, offices, retail, and residential assets
• Provide expertise in landlord and tenant management, leasing, planning, service charges, and legal matters; drive income, ensure compliance, and adopt best practices
• Manage external agents and contractors; liaise with academic staff

Candidate Requirements

• MRICS qualified with at least 5 years post-qualification experience
• Able to start on short notice
• Willing to travel to London as required
• Experience managing property/estates in complex environments
• Preferably client-side experience within the public sector
• Experience engaging with tenants, landlords, public bodies, and communities
• Experience evaluating development opportunities
• Up-to-date knowledge of statutory regulations and best practices in estate and property management
