Rutherford Cross is supporting a large Glasgow-based business to appoint an Interim Project Accountant for a 12-month period. You will report to the Financial Controller and contribute to month-end and quarterly reporting while supporting ERP system development.

The role includes payroll data extraction and validation for system implementation, and you will help manage intercompany accounting across a complex group. This is a hands-on interim position in a busy environment.

Qualifications

• Qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA or CA)
• Strong Excel skills and ERP knowledge
• Experience in contract and change environments advantageous

Position: Interim Project AccountantLocation: Glasgow (on site)Duration: 12-monthsSalary: £55,000 - £60,000 p.a.Start date: ASAPRutherford Cross is delighted to be supporting a large, privately owned business based in Glasgow in the appointment of an Interim Project Accountant for a 12-month period.Reporting to the Financial Controller, this role has been created to provide additional support during a period of process improvement and ERP system development. The successful candidate will play a key role in month-end and quarterly reporting and support finance-related testing and data validation as part of a wider systems implementation programme.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparation of monthly management accounts and quarterly reporting packs
• Ownership and coordination of month-end close timetables
• Supporting finance process improvement initiatives and ERP system testing
• Extracting, validating and reconciling payroll and financial data for system implementation activities
• Managing intercompany accounting across a complex group structure
• Providing hands-on support to the finance team during a busy period

The Ideal Candidate:

• Qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA or CA)
• Strong Excel skills and ERP knowledge with excellent attention to detail
• Committed to a long-term interim assignment, with experience operating in contract and change environments advantageous
