Job summary

Park Avenue Recruitment is helping a Local Authority fill an Interim Estates Surveyor role, 18 hours per week on a part-time basis. The position is predominantly remote with occasional office attendance and site visits (1–2 times per month).

You will focus on property disposals and broader commercial property matters within a Local Authority portfolio. Experience in General Practice Estates Surveying is desired, with MRICS preferred but not essential.

Interim GP Surveyor - Part Time

• Hours: 18 hours per week
• Rate: Negotiable, dependent on experience and market rates
• Working Pattern: Predominantly remote, with occasional office attendance and site visits (typically 1-2 times per month)

Are you an experienced Estates Surveyor looking for a flexible, part-time interim opportunity?

I'm currently working with a Local Authority seeking an Interim Estates Surveyor to provide additional support across its Property and Estates team.

This is a varied General Practice role, with a particular focus on property disposals, alongside wider commercial property and landlord and tenant matters.

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing and progressing property disposals, including surplus assets and general disposal activity.
• Supporting the day-to-day management of a varied property portfolio.
• Handling landlord and tenant matters, including lease renewals, rent reviews and lease negotiations.
• Preparing property reports, disposal recommendations and supporting documentation.
• Undertaking property inspections and site visits as required.
• Liaising with legal teams, external agents, tenants and internal stakeholders to progress transactions.
• Providing professional estates and asset management advice.

What We're Looking For:

• Previous General Practice Estates Surveying experience, ideally within a Local Authority.
• Strong understanding of commercial property and landlord and tenant matters.
• Experience managing or supporting property disposals.
• Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload remotely.
• MRICS desirable, although relevant experience will be considered.
