Job summary

Park Avenue Recruitment is helping a Local Authority fill an Interim Estates Surveyor role, 18 hours per week on a part-time basis. The position is predominantly remote with occasional office attendance and site visits (1–2 times per month).

You will focus on property disposals and broader commercial property matters within a Local Authority portfolio. Experience in General Practice Estates Surveying is desired, with MRICS preferred but not essential.

Qualifications

• General Practice Estates Surveying experience, ideally within Local Authority
• Strong understanding of commercial property landlord/tenant matters
• Experience managing or supporting property disposals
• Ability to work independently and remotely across multiple tasks

Responsibilities

• Managing and progressing property disposals, including surplus assets
• Supporting day-to-day management of a varied property portfolio
• Handling landlord and tenant matters, including lease renewals and rent reviews
• Preparing property reports and disposal recommendations
• Undertaking property inspections and site visits as required
• Liaising with legal teams, external agents, tenants and internal stakeholders
• Providing professional estates and asset management advice
