Job summary

A Local Authority is seeking an Interim Senior Estates Surveyor to support the management and optimisation of its diverse property portfolio on a 6 month initial contract with hybrid working in the United Kingdom.

The role requires MRICS qualified estates surveying experience within the public sector, strong landlord and tenant knowledge, and the ability to drive income generation and asset optimisation while advising senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

• MRICS qualification is required.
• Proven estates surveying experience within a Local Authority.
• Strong knowledge of landlord and tenant legislation.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of commercial, operational and investment properties.
• Lead on landlord and tenant matters including lease renewals, rent reviews and licence negotiations.
• Undertake property acquisitions, disposals and valuations.
• Identify and deliver opportunities for income generation and asset optimisation.
• Provide strategic property advice to senior stakeholders and service departments.
• Instruct and manage external consultants, agents and legal teams.
• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and local authority policies.
• Support wider property and regeneration projects as required.

A progressive Local Authority is seeking an experienced Interim Senior Estates Surveyor to support the management and optimisation of its diverse property portfolio.

This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive estates professional with strong public sector experience to play a key role in delivering asset management, income generation and property strategy objectives.
