Job summary

Trial Balance is seeking an interim Management Accountant to join a friendly finance team in a hybrid pattern at the company headquarters in Truro. The role is full time on a 3-month initial contract, with potential to convert to permanent.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will supervise a small team of transactional finance staff and cover management accounts, cash flow and reporting. The ideal candidate will be professionally qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or qualified through vocational

Qualifications

• Manufacturing/stockholding experience or exposure to physical inventory.
• Qualified professional or vocational equivalent in accounting.
• Strong digital accounting platform literacy and Excel proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Produce high quality management accounts with commentary.
• Manage day-to-day operational finance function.
• Nominal ledger review and month end close.
• Handle accruals and prepayments.
• Prepare monthly reporting packs and financial analysis.
• Collaborate with FC/CFO to develop systems and processes.
• Support cost control and cash flow forecasting.
• Assist in year end and audit processes.
