Job summary

Vivid Resourcing is helping Braintree District Council fill a Housing Options Team Leader role on a 3-month interim basis. The post is 40.00–45.00 per hour (umbrella) and requires you to be in the office in Braintree three days a week.

You will lead day-to-day delivery of a responsive, customer-focused housing options and homelessness service. You will deputise for the Housing Options Manager when required and ensure timely advice, intervention and statutory duties are met, while maintaining

Qualifications

• Proven track record in housing options and homelessness services.
• Strong knowledge of Housing Act 1996, Homelessness Reduction Act 2017 and related legislation.
• Experience leading a team and delivering customer-focused services.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Housing Options Officers and triage staff.
• Guide officers on complex and sensitive cases.
• Ensure statutory homelessness duties are met with thorough assessments.
• Carry out quality checks on casework and decisions.
• Represent the service at internal and external meetings.
• Help develop referral arrangements with statutory bodies and housing providers.
