Job summary

Baltimore Consulting Limited is seeking an experienced Interim Head of Housing Needs for a 12-month assignment on the South Coast with immediate start. The role offers flexible/hybrid working and operates Inside IR35 (via umbrella) at £650 per day.

You will lead Housing Needs, homelessness prevention, allocations and solutions; ensure compliance with Housing Act Part VI & VII and the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017; drive service transformation; advise Members and partners; support housing

Qualifications

• Significant leadership experience within Local Authority Housing Services.
• Strong operational knowledge of homelessness, housing options and statutory housing functions.
• Proven ability to deliver service improvement and organisational change programmes.
• Experience building relationships with Members, senior leaders and external partners.
• Track record of managing high-performing teams in a complex environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead Housing Needs, Homelessness Prevention, Housing Allocations and Housing Solutions.
• Ensure compliance with Housing Act Part VI & VII and the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017.
• Drive service transformation, performance improvement and operational excellence.
• Provide expert advice to Members, senior officers and external partners on housing strategy and policy.
• Support housing development and housing supply initiatives alongside Registered Providers and key stakeholders.
