Qualifikationen

• Recent experience with Housing Options/Homelessness for a UK local authority.
• Strong knowledge of homelessness prevention and the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017.
• Confident communication and negotiation skills.

Aufgaben

• Managing a caseload of households threatened with homelessness, with a strong focus on prevention.
• Carrying out detailed assessments to understand the cause of the housing issue and identify appropriate options.
• Producing and progressing Personalised Housing Plans (PHPs).
• Negotiating with landlords, letting agents, family members and other parties to help sustain existing accommodation.
• Exploring alternative housing options, including the private rented sector, where remaining in the current accommodation isn't possible.
• Completing duty cover 2 days per week in the office, dealing with customers approaching the service for housing advice and assistance.
