Our client is a medium-sized non-profit organisation based in Cardiff. They are seeking an experienced Interim Head of Finance to lead the finance team, providing excellent financial leadership, governance, and support to the wider business. The Head of Finance will contribute to the development of the organisation's strategic plan and lead the implementation of finance activities aligned with its purpose, values, and vision.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the Executive and leadership teams to develop and deliver the strategic plan, vision, and priorities.
• Communicate the organisation's vision with energy and commitment, linking it to delivery objectives.
• Engage with external stakeholders, providing expert advice on innovation, efficiency, and effectiveness; share learning with the leadership team.
• Oversee the organisation’s accounts, including final accounts preparation and timely submission.
• Manage financial systems to monitor and report on in-year spend.
• Work with colleagues to manage budgets effectively.
• Provide professional financial advice to the Executive and Leadership teams, and other staff as needed.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and excellence; foster learning and networking.
• Ensure financial policies and procedures comply with current legislation and best practices.
• Identify risks and develop risk management plans where appropriate.
• Qualifications: ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified accountant.
• Proven leadership skills, with experience motivating and developing teams.
• Strong financial reporting skills, with experience presenting results to senior leadership and the Board.
• Up-to-date knowledge of financial reporting standards and legislative frameworks.
• Experience in senior leadership and management roles.
• Demonstrated ability to build effective internal and external partnerships.
• Experience developing and delivering business plans, budgets, strategies, and complex policies.
