Interim Financial Controller
Location: Hemel Hempstead (Hybrid)
Duration: Up to 6 months, with strong potential for permanent placement
Salary: 80,000 - 90,000 per annum
We are currently looking for an experienced Interim Financial Controller to lead the financial operations of a dynamic and growing organisation. This role will offer you the opportunity to have a significant impact on the business by ensuring efficient financial management, compliance, and driving strategic insights. There is a strong possibility for this role to transition into a permanent position after the initial term.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Manage the budgeting and forecasting process, including cash flow planning.
Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations, accounting standards, and tax requirements.
Oversee the financial operations of the organisation, providing strategic financial insights to senior management.
Supervise and develop the finance team, ensuring efficient day-to-day operations and adherence to deadlines.
Act as a point of contact for external auditors, tax advisors, and financial institutions.
Implement and maintain robust financial controls and systems.
Support senior leadership with data analysis and decision-making.
Required Skills & Experience:
A recognised professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) or relevant degree.
Proven experience in financial management and leadership, ideally within a UK-based organisation.
Strong understanding of accounting standards and tax regulations.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (experience with SAP or similar platforms is a plus).
Experience with international subsidiaries or multi-currency operations is advantageous.
Ability to analyse and manipulate complex data, including using pivot tables.
