Job summary

Grant Thornton UK LLP is seeking an Interim Financial Accountant to join our CFO Solutions - Finance Placements team. You’ll engage with client finance functions on short- to medium-term projects, delivering statutory reporting, month-end close, and governance in a flexible contracting environment.

This role offers hybrid working with London-based engagements and potential for inside IR35 arrangements via your own limited company or as an inside IR35 assignment.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified member of a professional accounting body such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent.
• Experience within Industry, with turnover of £50m+; ideally FTSE-listed and/or Top 20 practice in financial/statutory accounting.
• Experience of half and full-year-end accounts preparation, audit liaison and monthly management accounts.
• Group Accounts Consolidation and Intercompany accounting.
• Financial reporting under IFRS, UK GAAP, US GAAP, or international GAAP.
• Preparation of year-end statutory accounts and audits.

Joining us in CFO Solutions - Finance Placements

Grant Thornton's CFO Solutions provides strategic, transformation and execution support for CFOs, through multiple services including finance consultancy, finance placements, business process outsourcing and technical accounting advice. The Finance Placements team focuses on providing an on-demand and project-focused accounting service, deploying individuals and teams of interim finance professionals into our clients' finance functions to help them through periods of challenge or change.

Skills we are looking for

• Fully qualified member of a professional accounting body such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent.
• Experience working within Industry, in companies with an annual turnover of a minimum of £50m+, ideally within a listed FTSE business and/or Top 20 practice within financial/statutory accounting capacity.
• Experience of half and full-year-end accounts preparation, audit liaison and preparation of monthly management accounts.
• Group Accounts Consolidation and Intercompany accounting.
• Financial reporting under IFRS, UK GAAP, US GAAP, or international GAAP.
• Preparation of year-end statutory accounts and audits.
