Job summary

Grant Thornton's CFO Solutions seeks an Interim Financial Accountant for short- to mid-term projects in a hybrid Leeds-based role. You will join the Finance Placements team delivering on-demand accounting support, including year-end, audits, and monthly reporting.

Fully qualified accounting professionals with industry experience and strong IFRS/GAAP knowledge are invited to engage through a personal services company or inside IR35 terms, offering flexibility and variety.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified accounting body: ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent.
• Experience in industry, ideally UK listed FTSE/Top 20 practice.
• Experience with year-end accounts, audits, and monthly management accounts.

Responsibilities

• Prepare half- and full-year-end accounts and liaise with auditors.
• Prepare monthly management accounts and consolidate group accounts.
• Handle intercompany accounting and IFRS/UK GAAP/US GAAP reporting.

Grant Thornton's CFO Solutions provides strategic, transformation and execution support for CFOs, through multiple services including finance consultancy, finance placements, business process outsourcing and technical accounting advice. The Finance Placements team focuses on providing an on-demand and project-focused accounting service, deploying individuals and teams of interim finance professionals into our clients' finance functions to help them through periods of challenge or change.

Skills we are looking for

• Fully qualified member of a professional accounting body such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent.
• Experience working within Industry, in companies with an annual turnover of a minimum of £50m+, ideally within a listed FTSE business and/or Top 20 practice within financial/statutory accounting capacity.
• Experience of half and full-year-end accounts preparation, audit liaison and preparation of monthly management accounts.
• Group Accounts Consolidation and Intercompany accounting.
• Financial reporting under IFRS, UK GAAP, US GAAP, or international GAAP.
• Preparation of year-end statutory accounts and audits.
