Job summary

Grant Thornton invites an experienced Interim Financial Accountant to join CFO Solutions' Finance Placements in a hybrid Manchester setting. You will tackle interim assignments across statutory accounting, consolidation and reporting, working via your own limited company or inside IR35 depending on the project.

Day rates are negotiable to suit expertise and assignment length. This opportunity emphasizes portfolio-building, flexibility, and collaboration with client finance teams.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified member of a professional accounting body (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent).
• Experience in Industry, turnover £50m+, ideally listed FTSE and/or Top 20 practice in financial/statutory accounting capacity.
• Experience of half and full-year-end accounts preparation, audit liaison and preparation of monthly management accounts.
• Group Accounts Consolidation and Intercompany accounting.
• Financial reporting under IFRS, UK GAAP, US GAAP, or international GAAP.
• Preparation of year-end statutory accounts and audits.

• Engage on short- to medium-term finance assignments within CFO Solutions.
• Deliver interim finance projects for clients' finance functions to sharpen your expertise.

Joining us in CFO Solutions - Finance Placements

Grant Thornton's CFO Solutions provides strategic, transformation and execution support for CFOs, through multiple services including finance consultancy, finance placements, business process outsourcing and technical accounting advice. The Finance Placements team focuses on providing an on-demand and project-focused accounting service, deploying individuals and teams of interim finance professionals into our clients' finance functions to help them through periods of challenge or change.

Skills we are looking for

• Fully qualified member of a professional accounting body such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent.


• Experience working within Industry, in companies with an annual turnover of a minimum of £50m+, ideally within a listed FTSE business and/or Top 20 practice within financial/statutory accounting capacity.
