Accountable Recruitment Limited is seeking an Interim Financial Accountant for a South Liverpool-based, hybrid role. This 3-month initial contract offers a daily rate of £300–£367 and an immediate start to support year-end and audit activities.

The role requires strong year-end accounting, audit prep, competent Excel skills, and experience with ERP systems. You will work autonomously to meet tight deadlines and contribute to key financial reporting.

Qualifications

• Qualified, part-qualified or qualified by experience accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
• Strong year-end accounting and audit preparation experience.
• Proven track record delivering balance sheet reconciliations in a complex environment.
• Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with large data sets.
• Able to work autonomously and deliver to challenging deadlines.
• Experience with ERP systems.

Responsabilités

• Complete detailed balance sheet reconciliations and investigate outstanding variances.
• Prepare audit-ready lead schedules and supporting documentation.
• Review and correct accruals, prepayments and year-end adjustments.
• Maintain and reconcile the fixed asset register.
• Support intercompany reconciliations and consolidation adjustments.
• Prepare journals for review and approval.
• Assist with auditor queries and requests during the audit process.
• Ensure reconciliations and processes are documented for ongoing use.

An established and purpose-driven organisation is seeking an experienced Interim Financial Accountant to support a critical year-end and audit project.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete detailed balance sheet reconciliations and investigate outstanding variances
• Prepare audit-ready lead schedules and supporting documentation
• Review and correct accruals, prepayments and year-end adjustments
