Job summary

Morgan McKinley (South West) is seeking an experienced Senior Financial Accountant for a 6-month interim assignment in Bristol. The role is hybrid, with 2 days per week onsite, and focuses on financial reporting, MI and technical accounting.

The successful candidate will own monthly/quarterly reporting, analyse management accounts, and partner with business teams to improve financial understanding and decision-making, while supporting junior team members.

Qualifications

• Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA with post-qualification experience.
• Strong background in financial reporting and management accounting.
• Good knowledge of UK GAAP and/or HGB.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Confident communicating financial information to senior stakeholders.
• Commercially minded with ability to understand drivers behind the numbers.

Responsibilities

• Own monthly and quarterly financial reporting for senior management and Group.

• Analyse financial performance and key business drivers, highlighting trends and opportunities.

• Identify opportunities to improve processes, increase efficiency and reduce costs.
• Support wider finance projects and initiatives.

Duration: 6 Months initilly

Location: Hybrid - Bristol, 2 days per week

We're looking for an experienced Senior Financial Accountant to join a high-performing finance team in a broad and varied role covering financial reporting, management information and technical accounting.

This is a great opportunity for a qualified accountant who enjoys working with the numbers but also wants to understand the commercial story behind them and influence senior stakeholders.

The Role
