Job summary

Park Avenue is seeking an experienced Facilities Manager for a Local Authority to oversee the property portfolio, including corporate buildings and schools. You will lead hard FM services and ensure compliance and performance across the estate.

The role involves managing planned and reactive maintenance, reviewing FRA/LRA/EICR and other PPM reports, and coordinating with building managers and occupiers. Prior experience in a similar environment is essential.

Qualifications

• Strong facilities / property management experience.
• Good knowledge of HVAC, electrical and BMS systems.
• Understanding of fire, legionella and electrical compliance.
• Experience managing contractors and monitoring service delivery.
• Ideally an HNC/HND in Building, Property or Facilities Management, or equivalent experience.
• Around 5+ years' relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee hard FM services and external contractors.
• Manage planned and reactive maintenance.
• Review FRA, LRA, EICR and other PPM reports, ensuring remedial actions are completed.
• Monitor statutory compliance across the property portfolio; support compliance audits and maintain asset data.
• Liaise with building managers, occupiers and internal property teams.
• Support inspections and management of vacant properties.
