Job summary

Civic Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced Facilities Manager for a 4‑month contract with a Swindon local authority. The role leads and manages the Facilities Management function across the Council's operational estate, at a daily rate of £229.19 via umbrella.

You will ensure buildings are safe, compliant, well-maintained and fit for purpose. Responsibilities include overseeing FM services, daily operations, contractor performance, and implementing maintenance programmes to improve

Qualifications

Extensive experience in Facilities Management or related field.
Proven track record in managing facilities teams.
Experience with building maintenance, repairs and compliance.
Skilled in managing contractors, suppliers and service contracts.
Knowledge of health and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

Oversee delivery of FM services across the operational estate.
Manage daily operations, maintenance, security, cleanliness and functionality of Council buildings.
Ensure facilities meet operational service needs and support employee wellbeing.
Monitor building systems to identify opportunities for improved performance.
Ensure assets are maintained and remain suitable for their intended purposes.
