Job summary

HRC is seeking an experienced and highly organised professional to provide temporary operational leadership for the English department, based at Ware & Broxbourne Campus, during interim cover. The role focuses on maintaining high delivery standards, supporting staff and students, and ensuring departmental processes continue to operate smoothly.

You will monitor student performance, implement curriculum planning activities, and report updates to the Director of Curriculum.

Qualifications

• Experience leading curriculum operations in FE settings.
• Proven ability to manage staff performance and development.
• Ability to maintain delivery standards during interim periods.

Responsibilities

• Staff deployment, timetabling and resource allocation.
• Arrange staff cover and oversee curriculum delivery.
• Provide pastoral support and monitor learner progress.
• Report progress to the Director of Curriculum and sustain quality processes.
• Line management, performance management and peer observation.
