Job summary

HRC seeks an experienced and highly organised professional to provide temporary operational leadership for the English department at Ware & Broxbourne Campus, ensuring continuity of provision and the effective day-to-day running of the area during interim cover.

This role focuses on maintaining high standards of delivery, supporting staff and students, and ensuring that established departmental processes continue to operate effectively.

Qualifications

• Staff deployment, timetabling, resource allocation, arranging staff cover and overseeing curriculum delivery.
• Provide pastoral support to students, maintaining behaviour, attendance and engagement.
• Monitor student performance against targets and report to the Director of Curriculum.
• Line management, performance management and peer observation responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Interim operational management to maintain effective provision during temporary appointment.
• Adapt quickly, manage day-to-day priorities and provide immediate operational support.
• Arrange staff cover, oversee the smooth delivery of the English curriculum.
