Job summary

Brava Education is assisting a West Yorkshire primary school in recruiting an Interim Deputy Headteacher to join from January 2027. The role is full-time and involves hands-on senior leadership, with responsibilities spanning daily operations and SEND support alongside the Acting Headteacher.

There will be some teaching of around half a day per week. The school is seeking an experienced leader capable of providing stability and effective management during interim arrangements.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Deputy Headteacher.
• Strong operational leadership including school business and logistics.
• Confidence supporting SEND; SENCo qualification would be a bonus but not required.
• Early Years experience would be desirable.
• Willingness to teach a small amount each week.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operational running of the school.
• Oversee the business and organisational aspects of school leadership.
• Support SEND provision in collaboration with Acting Headteacher.
• Teach a small amount of lessons each week.
