Job summary

Brava Education is supporting a West Yorkshire primary school in recruiting an Interim Deputy Headteacher to start January 2027. This senior leadership role manages day-to-day operations and supports the SEND provision alongside the Acting Headteacher.

The role includes some teaching, approx half a day per week, and runs until the end of the summer term. Candidates should have proven Deputy Headteacher experience and strong operational leadership to ensure stability and effective school

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Deputy Headteacher.
• Strong operational leadership including the business and organisational side of running a school.
• Willingness to teach a small amount each week.
• Experience with SEND provision or SENCo qualification desirable but not required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operational running of the school.
• Support SEND provision alongside Acting Headteacher.
• Collaborate with senior leadership for stability and direction during the interim period.
• Deliver approximately half a day of teaching per week.
