Job summary

Brava Education is assisting a West Yorkshire primary school in recruiting an Interim Deputy Headteacher to join from January 2027. The role is full-time and involves hands-on senior leadership, with responsibilities spanning daily operations and SEND support alongside the Acting Headteacher.

There will be some teaching of around half a day per week. The school is seeking an experienced leader capable of providing stability and effective management during interim arrangements.

Qualifications

Job description

Brava Education is working with a primary school in West Yorkshire, who are looking for an experienced Interim Deputy Headteacher to join them from January 2027.

The role

This is a hands-on senior leadership role within a large primary school with a nursery, serving a diverse community. You will work closely with the Acting Headteacher and the wider senior team to provide stability and strong leadership.

Your priority will be the day-to-day operational running of the school, including the business side of school leadership. You will also support the school's SEND provision, working alongside the Acting Headteacher, who will remain the strategic lead for SEND.

The role includes a small amount of teaching, around half a day a week.

About you
