Job summary

Brava Education is recruiting an Interim Deputy Headteacher for a special school in the Thames Valley to lead the quality of education as the school implements its improvement plan.

The role is senior and hands-on, with responsibility for curriculum structure, sequencing, assessment cycles and coaching curriculum leaders. It involves leading lesson observation, feedback and CPD, and working on rapid relationship-building with staff and pupils on site.

Qualifications

• Experience at Deputy Headteacher level or above.
• Strong track record in curriculum, assessment and teaching and learning.
• Knowledge of the new Ofsted framework.
• Comfortable working at pace within an established improvement plan.

Responsibilities

• Lead quality of education and teaching and learning across the school, including curriculum structure, sequencing and assessment cycles.
• Line manage and coach curriculum leaders, and lead lesson observation, feedback and CPD.
• Build relationships with staff and pupils quickly; support school improvement following its plan.
