Job summary

Konexo Legal Resourcing, part of Eversheds Sutherland, connects clients with interim lawyers in commercial technology, data & AI across sectors. We seek England & Wales qualified lawyers with strong contracting skills in software, cloud, licensing and data protection, who can translate technical and regulatory issues into practical advice.

Assignments range from flexible project work to longer placements, with hybrid or remote options.

Qualifications

• Qualified lawyer in England and Wales with significant experience in commercial technology, digital, data, AI or IT law.
• Strong knowledge of data protection and privacy, including UK GDPR, international data transfers, data governance and associated risk.
• Commercial technology experience covering areas such as software, cloud, SaaS, licensing, digital services, technology procurement and outsourcing.
• Experience drafting and negotiating complex technology, IT and data-related contracts, translating technical and regulatory issues into clear, practical and commercially focused legal advice.
• Knowledge and experience of AI and emerging technologies, including AI governance, responsible AI, risk assessment and regulatory landscape.

Responsibilities

• Drafting and negotiating complex technology, IT and data-related contracts; advising on commercial tech issues.
• Providing practical, commercially oriented legal guidance to in-house teams and stakeholders across IT, data and procurement.
• Keeping abreast of evolving regulations around AI, data protection and digital technologies.

Konexo Legal Resourcing is seeing increased demand for interim lawyers with expertise across commercial technology, digital, data protection, AI and IT.

We are keen to connect with experienced lawyers who can combine strong commercial and technology contracting skills with an understanding of the evolving legal and regulatory landscape around data, AI, cyber security and digital technologies.

What we're looking for

• Qualified lawyer in England and Wales with significant experience in commercial technology, digital, data, AI or IT law.
• Strong knowledge of data protection and privacy, including UK GDPR, international data transfers, data governance and associated risk.
• Commercial technology experience covering areas such as software, cloud, SaaS, licensing, digital services, technology procurement and outsourcing.

• Knowledge and experience of AI and emerging technologies, which may include AI governance, responsible AI, risk assessment and the evolving regulatory landscape.
• Confidence working with stakeholders across legal, IT, information security, data, procurement, product and commercial teams, often within fast-paced environments.
• Previous in-house or secondment experience would be advantageous.

Additional experience that would be advantageous

• Knowledge of, or experience advising on, DORA and digital operational resilience requirements.
