Job summary

Braxfield Recruitment Limited is assisting a London local authority to appoint an Interim Awaab’s Law Compliance Programme Lead. The role focuses on designing and embedding a case management system to tackle hazards under Phase 2, from damp and mould to fire safety and electrical safety.

You will map processes, close gaps quickly, engage with repairs, housing management and legal teams, and establish clear reporting to regulators and residents.

Qualifications

• Proven track record delivering housing compliance or disrepair programmes within social housing or a local authority.
• Strong knowledge of Awaab's Law, Decent Homes Standard and HHSRS.
• Experience designing or implementing case management processes in housing repairs.

Responsibilities

• Designing and implementing a case management framework covering Phase 2 hazards.
• Mapping current processes against Phase 2 requirements and closing compliance gaps.
• Working with repairs, surveying, housing management and legal teams to ensure timely handling of cases.
• Establishing reporting and audit trails for scrutiny by cabinet, regulator and residents.
• Advising on resourcing, contractor capacity and escalation routes for statutory timescales.
• Supporting staff training and change management as the new system beds in.
