Job summary

Trial Balance Consulting Ltd. near Newquay seeks an Interim Assistant Accountant to join the finance team on a full-time basis. The role focuses on accounts payable and support for management accounts during a busy period, reporting to the Financial Controller.

The ideal candidate will have recent management accounts experience, be AAT qualified, and demonstrate strong IT skills with MS accounting products. Immediate start for a period running to end-March 2024.

Qualifications

• Experience with accounts payable and management accounts prep.
• Proficient in MS accounting software.
• Strong communication and teamwork.
• AAT qualification or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Line management of the Purchase Ledger system, ensuring invoices are coded, inputted and matched.
• Oversee supplier payment runs.
• Control of expense claims systems.
• Monitor aged debtors.
• Assist in monthly management accounts with prepayments and accruals.
• Serve as main contact for supplier queries and resolution.
• Accounts payable reporting.
• Collaborate on accounting projects with finance colleagues.
