IPS Group Limited in Leeds is seeking an Interim Accountant for a 6-month contract. The hybrid role requires 2 days in the office and focuses on investigating issues with financial information supplied by an outsourced finance provider, taking ownership of reconciliations, controls and banking activities.

The ideal candidate is a qualified accountant who can identify discrepancies, create solutions, and drive process improvements with strong stakeholder management in a fast-paced environment.

• Collaborate with outsourced suppliers to improve accounting and banking operations.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations.
• Identify enhancements to accounting processes to strengthen controls.

A leading financial services organisation is seeking an Interim Accountant on a 6 month contract. We are looking for a senior finance professional who can investigate potential issues with financial information provided by a finance outsourcing company, take ownership of reconciliations, controls, and banking activities. It will suit a qualified accountant who can investigate potential issues and create solutions.

This is a hybrid working role in Leeds centre requiring 2 days in the office.

Key Responsibilities:

• Reconciliation of bank accounts and establish a robust ongoing reconciliation process.
• Manage transaction processing with the outsourced finance providers, including analysis of monthly accounts pack data, posting of journals, monthly bank reconciliations, and resolution of discrepancies.
• Produce monthly reporting documentation.
• Partner with the outsourced suppliers to identify and implement improvements across accounting and banking operations.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations.
• Identify and implement enhancements to the accounting processes, focusing on strengthening controls and improving efficiency.

• A proactive, self-starting accountant with strong technical accounting.
• Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, change-oriented environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to investigate and resolve discrepancies independently.
