Job summary

Matchtech is seeking an Interconnects Design Engineer in Stevenage for a six-month contract. You will design bespoke electrical interconnects and cables for power, signal and data across subsystems, interpreting sub-system requirements and producing schematics and definitions.

The role involves analysing cable issues, developing solutions, supporting manufacturing with build issues, and contributing to product trials within a multi-disciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Experience in cable/harness/interconnects design.
• 2+ years of experience using Visio and HarnWare.
• Understanding of product data management (Windchill or similar).
• Ideally degree or equivalent in Interconnects/Harness Design & Development.

Responsibilities

• Interpret sub-system requirements and generate electrical schematics and cable design definitions.
• Investigate cable problems/issues and develop solutions.
• Support manufacturing to resolve build/manufacturing issues.
• Support functional and environmental product trials.
• Contribute within a multi-disciplinary team to deliver advanced projects.
