Line Up Aviation is seeking an Interconnects Design Engineer on a 6-month contract to design bespoke electrical interconnects/cables for power, signal and data transmission. The role involves creating schematics in Visio, defining cable designs in HarnWare, and supporting test equipment development for next-gen weapons. Onsite in Stevenage/Bolton with BPSS to SC clearance, 37 hours a week, £50 per hour.
Qualifications
2+ years of experience using Visio and HarnWare.
Experience defining and deploying processes within Visio/HarnWare, including electrical topology and wiring standards.
Responsibilities
Interpret subsystem requirements and design electrical cables to meet specs.
Produce electrical schematics using Visio.
Create and maintain cable design definitions in HarnWare.
Resolve design and installation issues with engineering solutions.
Collaborate with project teams to deliver design solutions.
Provide technical support to manufacturing, resolving production issues.
Support testing and product trials for validation and performance verification.
Maintain engineering documentation through the design lifecycle.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to meet project and customer requirements.
Identify opportunities for design improvements and continuous improvement initiatives.
Ensure work adheres to engineering standards and project timelines.
