Job summary

MBDA UK Ltd in Stevenage is seeking an Interconnects Design Engineer to design bespoke electrical interconnects and cables for power, signal and data within subsystems.

You will interpret subsystem requirements, generate electrical schematics using Visio and HarnWare, manage cable designs with Windchill, and support manufacturing through issue resolution and trials. Working in a dynamic hybrid environment, you will collaborate with highly skilled engineers on advanced MBDA projects.

Qualifications

• Experience using Visio to define electrical topology, wiring schematics and 2D manufacturing drawings.
• Proven ability to define, deploy and refine processes in Visio and HarnWare.
• Strong understanding of product data management and change management in Windchill or similar.

Responsibilities

• Interpret subsystem requirements and generate electrical schematics and cable design definitions in Visio & HarnWare.
• Investigate a full range of cable problems and develop solutions as part of a project team.
• Provide support to manufacturing to resolve issues and assist with product trials.
• Broaden technical scope by working on complex, high‑capability projects within MBDA.
