Job summary

Codi Group is seeking an Intensive Housing Support Worker for the Newport Pathways Floating Support Team. This full-time, fixed-term role runs Mon-Fri, office hours, with flexibility to meet service user needs. You will work within a multi-agency team to help individuals maintain tenancies, access services, and improve wellbeing.

The role involves collaborative duties with mental health, substance misuse, and housing partners to deliver person-centred support that empowers lasting change.

Qualifications

• Ability to deal with conflicting and difficult situations.
• Experience supporting people with complex and multiple needs.
• Knowledge of housing, homelessness, mental health, and/or substance misuse issues.
• Strong communication and partnership-working skills.
• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a multi-agency team.
• A compassionate, person-centred approach that promotes independence and recovery.

Responsibilities

• Build positive relationships with service users and advocate on their behalf.
• Coordinate support plans and monitor progress with individuals and partner services.
• Work closely with multiple agencies to deliver holistic, tailored support.
• Help service users sustain tenancy, improve wellbeing, and access specialist services.
• Contribute to a flexible, responsive floating support service.
