Job summary

Thames Valley Police invites applications for an Intelligence Development Officer within the Technical Development Unit of SEROCU. The role focuses on collecting and developing intelligence to support serious and organised crime investigations, and on planning, testing and deploying covert tactics under IPA and RIPA.

You will work with Technical Specialists and Development Engineers to develop and deploy new capabilities, with training opportunities and network engagement across the TDU.

Qualifications

• Collection, recording, evaluation and dissemination of intelligence for serious and organised crime investigations.
• Support planning, testing, deployment and protection of covert tactics within IPA and RIPA.
• Collaborate with Technical Specialists and Development Engineers to develop and deploy capabilities.
• Strong communication and partnership skills with colleagues and partner agencies.

Responsibilities

• Manage information in accordance with the Management of Information, Information Security Policy and current legislation.
• Travel across the South East region and occasionally throughout the UK; full UK driving licence required.
