Job summary

Thames Valley Police is seeking an Intelligence Development Officer (IDO) to join the Technical Development Unit in Kidlington. You will lead the collection, development and dissemination of intelligence to support serious and organised crime investigations, while aiding covert tactics planning within IPA and RIPA frameworks.

You will work with Technical Specialists and Development Engineers, with opportunities for training and cross-unit collaboration.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills and ability to liaise with partner agencies.
• Ability to collect, record, evaluate, share and retain information in line with policies.
• Willingness to travel across the South East region and the UK.
• Full UK driving licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate collection, development and dissemination of intelligence for serious and organised crime investigations.
• Support covert tactics deployment, IPA and RIPA responsibilities.
• Collaborate with Technical Specialists and Development Engineers.
