Job summary

British Gas, part of Centrica, is hiring a Head of Insurance Partnerships to translate partnerships into compliant, commercially effective live propositions. You will lead cross-functional teams to ensure readiness, governance and performance across insurance partnerships.

The role requires FCA-regulated environment experience, strong analytical skills and proven leadership to ensure successful onboarding, launch and ongoing management of partnerships.

Qualifications

• Essential background in insurance partnerships, ideally within retail, consumer, home services or affinity partnership environments.
• Strong knowledge of operating in an FCA-regulated environment, including governance, conduct risk, customer outcomes, complaints, controls and partner oversight.
• Proven experience onboarding new partnerships from commercial agreement through to operational launch, including requirements gathering, delivery planning, go-live readiness and transition into BAU.
• Strong numerical and analytical capability, with experience interpreting commercial models, performance-related payment mechanisms, revenue share arrangements and complex contractual calculations.
• Experience overseeing performance management frameworks, KPIs, SLAs, reporting, payment validation, financial controls and issue escalation across live partnerships.
• Understanding of insurance book sustainability, including collaboration with Partner, Pricing, Underwriting, Finance and Commercial teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the launch and readiness of new insurance partnerships, ensuring compliance and operational delivery.
• Coordinate cross-functional delivery forums to resolve blockers and convert commitments into delivery.
• Ensure governance, regulatory and customer requirements are reviewed and embedded before go-live.
• Provide leadership, coaching and accountability for day-to-day partnership management and risk mitigation.
