Job summary

British Gas, part of Centrica, is seeking a Commercial Risk, Conduct & Governance Lead to join the 1LOD team in a hybrid setup with Windsor offices. You will support policy, governance and oversight for Product, Propositions and Marketing Compliance, balancing commercial aims with customer outcomes.

You will collaborate with product managers, propositions leads, marketing and 2LOD teams to embed robust governance and risk practices, deliver training, and ensure auditable decision making across

Qualifications

• Experience in governance, risk, compliance, or product oversight in a regulated environment (financial services or insurance preferred)
• Strong organisational skills with proactive, detail-focused approach
• Excellent written and verbal communication with senior stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day governance processes and forums (Product & Propositions Governance, Marketing Compliance, Risk and Conduct Oversight)
• Embed governance practices to support growth and customer outcomes
• Coordinate governance activity: scheduling, minutes, packs, decisions and actions for committees
• Collaborate with Product Managers and Marketing teams to ensure governance input across development and delivery
• Create and maintain governance records, logs and trackers for audit visibility
• Develop MI and dashboards for senior stakeholders and cross-team transparency
• Support cross-team activities and continuous improvement initiatives
