Intact Insurance in the UK is seeking a Commercial Manager accountable for P&L performance across defined broker panels, leading a team of Senior Trading Underwriters and Trading Underwriters to deliver growth, profitability, retention and portfolio quality.

You’ll develop broker strategies, drive broker engagement, and lead a high-performing team while ensuring compliance with policies and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience in Commercial Lines underwriting and broker trading with P&L outcomes.
• Proven people leadership, building high-performing teams and managing performance.
• Excellent communication, influencing skills, and data-driven decision making.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute broker strategies to drive growth and profitability across assigned broker panels.
• Lead broker engagement to build market relationships and deliver a compelling broker proposition.
• Drive team engagement, capability development and performance management, creating a high-performing culture.
• Ensure compliance with policies, standards and regulatory requirements.
• Resolve complex trading and underwriting issues and escalate strategic matters.
• Influence stakeholders with excellent communication, commercial insight and data-driven decisions.
• Maintain a consistent operating rhythm across Regions and share insight with fellow Commercial Managers.
• Promote collaboration and best practice across the Regional business.
