Intact Insurance in the UK is recruiting a Commercial Manager to lead P&L across broker panels, directing Senior Trading Underwriters and Trading Underwriters to drive growth and profitability. You will engage brokers, shape strategies, and ensure underwriting discipline within a framework of collaborative regional leadership.

As a permanent member, you’ll help strengthen market relationships, deliver a compelling broker proposition, and foster a high-performing culture with strong governance

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in Commercial Lines underwriting with broker engagement.
• Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
• Strong portfolio management and P&L optimization skills.
• Experience delivering underwriting and commercial results across a defined portfolio.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder influence across levels.
• Judgment applied within defined policies; digital planning tools use.
• Professional certifications may be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Developing and executing broker strategies and business plans across assigned broker panels.
• Leading broker engagement, building market relationships and delivering a compelling proposition.
• Driving team engagement, capability development and performance management.
• Ensuring compliance with policies, standards and regulatory requirements.
• Resolving complex trading and underwriting issues and escalating strategic matters.
• Influencing stakeholders with commercial insight and data-driven decisions.
• Maintaining a consistent operating rhythm across Regions and sharing insights.
• Contributing to the Commercial Manager community of practice and best practices.
• Championing continuous improvement and fostering team innovation.
