Job summary

NFU Mutual Lisburn & Banbridge Agency is seeking an Insurance Advisor (Commercial & Personal Lines) to be the first point of contact for customers, delivering friendly, professional service and handling policy enquiries and changes.

The role offers full-time hours, structured training and a clear path to professional qualifications, with benefits including pension, private medical insurance, flexitime, and holiday entitlement. Location is Lisburn & Banbridge.

Qualifications

• 8 GCSEs or equivalent, including Maths and English.

Responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact for customers, ensuring friendly, professional interactions.
• Provide first-class customer service, handling enquiries and changes to policies and processing paperwork.
• Conduct insurance reviews with existing customers and drive new business growth for NFU Mutual Lisburn & Banbridge.
• Convert commercial, motor and personal insurance opportunities into sales.
• Maintain strong customer relationships and ensure accurate, efficient processes.

An exciting opportunity has now arisen within the Lisburn & Banbridge agency of NFU Mutual for an Insurance Advisor to join us on a full-time, permanent basis, working Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm, with a 4:30pm finish on Fridays. Requests for 4 days per week will be considered.

The Role

As an Insurance Advisor, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, ensuring every interaction is friendly, professional, and efficient while working towards achievable targets.

Specifically, youll provide first-class customer service, handling enquiries and changes to insurance policies, processing paperwork, and ensuring customer information is accurate and up to date.

Youll also carry out insurance reviews with existing customers and drive new business growth by converting commercial, motor and personal insurance opportunities into sales for the Lisburn & Banbridge agency of NFU Mutual.

Working closely with colleagues, youll also play a vital role in maintaining strong customer relationships and ensuring processes are accurate and efficient.

About You

To be considered as an Insurance Advisor, you will need:

• At a minimum, 8 GCSEs or equivalent at level 4 / Grade C or above, including Maths and English
• Excellent communication skills, with a strong customer focus and professional approach
• Resilience, self-motivation, and disciplined pipeline management skills
• High attention to detail, with strong organisation and time management skills

Customer service, sales or insurance experience are desirable but not essential.
