Job summary

Malvern Panalytical is seeking a Customer Service Engineer to install, repair and maintain our market-leading instruments across the UK, with home working in the West Midlands. You will join a growing UK Customer Support team and travel extensively to customer sites, delivering training and ensuring high satisfaction while upholding safety and service standards.

Qualifications

• Qualifications in Electronics, Chemistry to HND, or equivalent level.
• Demonstrable experience of working on customer sites.
• Proven experience in a customer field service environment advantageous but not essential.
• Experience of working with X-Ray based scientific instrumentation is an advantage.
• Current, full UK driving licence.
• Required to travel extensively throughout the UK to service instrumentation at customer sites and may require overnight stays

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses and resolves customer instrument issues; provides service.
• Delivers operational training to customers, primarily at installation.
• Maintains high customer satisfaction by meeting service expectations and providing timely documentation.
• Offers remote support via PC and phone; travels extensively as needed.
• Manages company assets including spare parts, tools, vehicle and software.
• Keeps product knowledge updated and provides feedback to improve product quality and support sales efforts
