Job summary

PerkinElmer, Inc. is seeking a Customer Service Engineer to join a dedicated field service team in the UK.

You will support the inorganic instrumentation portfolio, perform repairs, maintenance and training, and ensure compliance with the company Quality Management System. Based in Reading/Remote UK, you will travel regionally and occasionally across the UK, Ireland, and Europe, supporting customers with ICP-OES, ICP-MS, and Atomic Absorption systems while expanding your expertise through

Qualifications

HND or equivalent in Electronic Engineering, Science, Biotechnology or similar discipline.
Full Driving License.
5 years experience in a Scientific or Customer Service Environment.
Experience of working in GMP environments preferred.
Understanding of analytical techniques and instrumentation beneficial.

Responsibilities

Performs field service as advised by dispatch, carrying out repairs, preventative maintenance, qualifications, and installation including validation of instrumentation and their accessories.
Provide onsite user training on defined product groups.
Organize routine maintenance allocated monthly.
Maintain documentation, diagrams and manuals with correct revision for service on instrument types.
Promote/sell instruments and service products including consumables and service contracts.
Ensure tools and test equipment are calibrated and maintained; complete service reports and logs weekly.
